On 16th February 1998, the European Parliament and the Council adopted the Directive 98/8, concerning the positioning of biocidal products on the market, which became effective on the 14th May 2000.
Vesismin, S.L., as all European manufacturers of disinfectants (biocidal products) is affected by this legisation. Vesismin will adapt their registers, currently nationwide, to the Directive, so that the company will have a European register starting from the year 2010 for each of its products.
These European registers will assure that the formulations of all disinfectants contain only substances accepted in Annexes I/IA of the Directive (list of approved active substances for use in biocidal products).
